How to make instant khoya at home/Mawa recipe with milk powder/khoya recipe


Khoya/Mawa plays an important role while making sweets. Traditionally, it is prepared by simmering the milk till almost moisture evaporates and reduces to solids it gives perfect khoya but it's time consuming. Nowadays, it is hard to get time for cooking but if you prefer to make everything at home then this instant khoya recipe using milk powder is perfect for you.

There is also to type of instant khoya 

1.soft khoya 

2.hard khoya

In most of the recipe you can use both of the mawa but in some recipes like gulab jamun you need soft/chikna mawa. 

INSTANT KHOYA INGREDIENTS:

  • 2TBS of ghee
  • 1/2cup of milk
  • 1cup full fat milk powder
  • 3green cardamom

HOW TO MAKE INSTANT KHOYA?

METHOD:

Step.1

       

Add ghee and cardamom in a pan heat it like below;

Step.2

           When ghee heated add milk and boil the milk like below:

Step.3

       When milk starts boiling, reduce flame to low. Add milk powder little by little and stir continuously

to prevent lumps like below:

Step.4 

       Stir and cook until mixture starts to thicken.

Step.5

       When almost moisture evaporate off the flame and let it cool at room temperature.

Step.6

       Use it in sweets to make them more delicious.
